BUTLER-McCOOK HOUSE AND GARDEN

The Butler-McCook House and Garden - a small gem downtown Hartford

The Butler-McCook House and Garden is a tiny property downtown Hartford, and therefore can be easily overlooked.

The house was owned by a family who lived there for 195 years. Behind the house, now turned into a museum, is a small but beautiful Victorian ornamental garden designed in 1865.

The Butler-McCook House and Garden is an oasis of quitness in the middle of the city. The property is located at 396 Main Street. Parking is easier on the street behind the property.
